Gayle joined Alation to lead the Docs team and has been a fearless change agent. She gets the job done, but also isn't shy to propose entirely new ways of working - with both short term and long term benefits and solutions. I've watched her work cross functionally, collaborating with Engineering and Product to really understand what needs to get done. She asks all the right questions, gets out and meets w/stakeholders, is building a new Docs platform, proposing an entirely new Connector Hub approach for solving the problems of knowledge management for this critical piece of our product, and leading the effort on all sides to build Docs into a more useful tool for our users and ourselves. She's getting us to a better self-service experience. Her attitude is positive; her approach is innovative and her energy is contagious!

 Over a period of approximately 6 years, I have worked with Gayle in various organizations: as a peer, her manager, then under her management. In all cases, she has been one of the most upbeat, optimistic, and loyal professionals I've had the pleasure to work with. Gayle's work dedicates itself to the best interests of the company because she not only works with products that she believes in, but also applies meticulous attention to customer issues to produce fully usable and flexible documentation. I've always appreciated Gayle's friendly style and seen it work well as she regularly visits key resources throughout the organization...expertly balancing friendship and professionalism...bringing valuable extra tidbits of information into doc scheduling and content. Also, she brings an open mind to tactical discussions and appreciates differing opinions...often incorporating newer ideas into her own style. Her loyalty is inspiring, not only as it applies to the company she works for, but also toward the people she works with and the work she produces. The minute Gayle joined Alation as the Docs team manager she was moving the ball AND building for the long term! She was able to see how hard the Docs team was working, but that they also needed support from other teams at Alation.

Gayle has been able to recognize the talents of each individual on her team and allowed them to work on projects that are the best fit for them and Alation. Gayle is a valuable and vital part of Alation, the Learning and Communities team, and the Docs team!
